Police educate children about crime

Duduza SAPS visited Umthombo Day Care and Stimulus centre.

Duduza – Umthombo Day Care and Stimulus Center were showered with love from the members of the police last Friday.
During the event they educated the attendees about crime and abuse and encouraged people to report any criminal activities they witness to the police.
The event was part of Mandela month celebrations to honour the late state president, Nelson Mandela.

This was made possible in collaboration with the CPF, Youth Desk, EHW and the Gauteng Province Police and Prison Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) as part of their outreach programmes.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka explained that they felt the need to spend the day at the centre with the children.
“We want to build a relationship with the community for them to know that they can work hand-in-glove with us,” he explained.
