Mpathanyane family is pleading for help to rebuild their home.

Nelly Mpathanyane is pleading for residents to help them.

Tsakani- The Mpathanyane family was left homeless after a fire gutted their home last Wednesday.
A report from the EMS revealed the fire was started by a heater that was left on while the area was experiencing load-shedding.
Nelly Mpakanyane received a call from her neighbours while at work, informing her that her home was on fire.
“When I arrived I found the house covered in flames with neighbours already gathered and firefighters trying to douse the flames.
“We could only watch as everything we have worked for was reduced to ashes,” she explained.

Nelly added her children were bathing and getting ready for school that morning in one of the rooms with the heater on. They forgot to switch it off when load-shedding started.
She believes something in the room caught fire and spread to the rest of the house when the power was switched back.
The family has lost all their belongings and pleading with good Samaritans to help them rebuild their lives.
