Duduza taxi driver hijacked

It is alleged the victim was driving a local taxi when he was stopped by two unknown men and female along Lestapa Street.

Duduza – A mini taxi driver was hijacked in a Ford Meteor with the registration number CS54SKGP on Monday.
It is alleged the victim was driving a local taxi when he was stopped by two unknown men and female along Lestapa Street. They said they were going to John Dube.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said after the victim dropped the passengers off, he was on his way out of area and at the John Dube stop sign approaching Tonk Meter Road he was stopped by two unknown men wearing masks.

“They indicated they were going to Vlakfontein.
“One of them sat in front and the other one in the back seat.
“While he was driving, the one sitting at the back pointed a gun at him and instructed him to pull over.
“They demanded money and his cellphone and pushed him out of the car,” he said.
Manaka added that the suspects are still at large and police investigations are still underway.
