Kwa-Thema – Two off-duty members of SAPS Highway Patrol arrested a 35-year-old man for possession of unlicensed firearms and attempted murder on Friday evening.
The arrest came after the two members noticed an ambulance at the Duduza Taxi Rank.

They proceeded to investigate and found that two men had been shot by two gunmen who fled the scene.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said the members proceeded to trace the perpetrators until they got to a house in Brownwin Street, Kwa-Thema, where they found a man in possession of two unlicensed firearms which are suspected to have been used during the shooting.
