Learning opportunity for unemployed youth

Kwatsaduza – A local organisation is looking to empower unemployed youth through skills empowerment.
NPO For The Youth By The Youth, in partnership with Atvance Academy, is offering scholarships to the youth of Kwatsaduza and Springs.
NPO coordinator Jack Komane said they are looking for 250 to 300 unemployed youth.
“We are offering a 12-month scholarship for youths aged 18 to 27 years. We are mainly encouraging young people who have completed matric and those who would like to complete matric.
“People who cannot afford tertiary institution fees this year are also welcome. Students will choose and register for one course and will be studying SETA-accredited courses,” he said.

The NPO will be facilitating the classes at 12133 Mndebele Street in Kwa-Thema Extension Four.
“The academy will be paying for the tuition and study material. However, there will be no stipend nor transport allowance.
“We are also looking for an institution or local facilities that can accommodate us for teaching and learning,” added Komane.

NPO For The Youth By The Youth, in partnership with Atvance Academy, is offering scholarships to the youth of Kwatsaduza and Springs.

Classes will be from Monday to Friday from 8am to 3.30pm.
Courses will include:
• Project support services (National Certificate NQF3)
• Wholesale and retail operations (National Certificate NQF2)
• Information technology technical support (FET Certificate NQF4)
