Pollak Park hosts Winter Championship
Glorious golf at the Pollak Park Winter Championship
Golfers were spoilt for choice this weekend at the Pollak Park Golf Club.
On Saturday, players could play in the Winter Championship and on Sunday, the monthly Gingers Golf Day.

For the monthly Gingers Golf Day, player Bruce Gardner said the good rain on Friday made the course soft to play on and it was great to see the signs of green summer grass peaking through all over the fairways.
“We wish to thank Pollak Park and Rob von Velzen for a very pleasant morning’s golf.
“Everyone enjoyed the course,” he said.

The winners were as follows:
• First place : Harvey Scott 36 points
• Second place: Mike Wise 34 points
• Third place: Michelle Scott 31 points
Trevor Smith took longest day and Gardner was closest to the pin on the sixth and had the longest drive on the 18th.
