“Covid-19 has made it difficult for learners to go to school and often we as parents do not know how we can best assist our children with their school work or just for them to have something productive to do while at home.

“Which is why I saw the need to create these books for parents.

“The books offer a variety of topics, are easy to follow and understand, make learning very fun and interesting for the little ones.

“For me to put them together I consulted professional teachers and did my own research,” says Mthembu.

He has collaborated with Early Childhood Development Centres within Ekurhuleni for his online learning campaign ‘1 teach One’.

The campaign aims to provide learning tools and empower parents and teachers to make use of digital platforms for learning and teaching.

“I started illustrations back in 2016 and I have worked on numerous projects to build up my expertise and reach different people in different places.

“However, my focus is ensuring children receive the best learning foundation while also encouraging parents to play an active role in their children?s education.

“We have a book for life skills, numeracy and literacy which are already available for purchase,” says Mthembu.

The books will help parents with homeschooling.

He is currently working to get his books accredited by the SETA.
