New song for dynamic duo

The artists say making music during the time of Covid-19 has come with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Siblings Percy and Nelisiwe Nkosi, who go by their stage names GSMusiq and KingNelly, will tomorrow (Friday) release a hot new track that’s set to burn up the airwaves.

The new track, The Pledge, is the first single off their new extended-play (EP), also titled The Pledge.

This is the first collaboration album between the two.

“The inspiration came from our passion for music.

“We just wanted to collaborate in a sound that would not only be vibey but also have people recognise the talent we have and the path we chose to take as a career.

“The Pledge is nothing similar to our previous work.

Brother and sister Percy and Nelisiwe Nkosi (GSMusiq and KingNelly) say their new single is nothing like their previous work.

“We worked immensely hard on this project; blood, sweat and money went into it.

“We also invested our time and full commitment,” says the pair.

The artists say making music during the time of Covid-19 has come with its own advantages and disadvantages.

On the one hand, the duo lost opportunities that might have come their way had they been able to move around and perform freely, but on the other hand, the lockdown gave them a chance to work without any disruptions.

“No doubt this EP is our best work thus far.

“Our lives have literally been put on hold but despite it all, we have to look at the light at the end of the tunnel.

“There is always something to learn in all our songs.

“Our music is way bigger than just entertainment, people need to either relate or learn something from the EP,” say the musicians.

The pair says they have big plans for their EP and plan to shoot three music videos.

“We really want to go big, and our vision is big so we need our work ethic to match,” say GSMusiq and KingNelly.

The whole EP will be available to stream and download from midnight on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube.
