Quick ways to pay your municipal accounts during lockdown

Avoid penalties and pay your municipal accounts from the comfort of your own home.

Don’t let the Covid-19 lockdown keep you from paying your municipal accounts.

The City of Ekurhuleni encourages residents to make use of the Siyakhokha (https://siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za) during this time.

Siyakhokha is the City of Ekurhuleni’s online system, designed to make it faster and easier to interact with the City.

However, please note that your bank will still charge you its standard transaction fee for utilising the site to pay your Ekurhuleni bill.

Registration on Siyakhokha and usage of the site is free.

Make use of online banking services and send the proof of payment via email to siyakhokha@ekurhuleni.gov.za or WhatsApp it to 063 306 3152.

Residents who do not have access to online platforms can pay at their respective Customer Care Centres.

They will open on Wednesday, April 1.

Makro, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and SPAR also give customers the option of paying their accounts.
