Tsakane – A father, aged 58, and his son, aged 20, were arrested for possession of narcotics in Geluksdal recently.
The arrest comes after EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers carried out an anti-drugs operation in the area.
The suspects were approached on Castro Street and searched.

The police officers confiscated from them two plastic bags with 811g of dagga, one half-moon of cocaine, 22 half and full Mandrax tablets, 16 pieces of rock valued at R8 700 and R980 in cash.
EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng says the suspects were detained at Tsakane Police Station.
“Charges of possession and dealing in illicit substance were levelled against the two and they are expected to appear in the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon,” she says.
