Local choir helps raise funds for Bathandeni
The NPO provides assistance and is home to many disabled children.
KwaThema – KwaThema-based Sempre Avante Chamber Choir, under the leadership of accomplished musician Charles Lesia, hosted a concert to raise funds for non-profit organisation Bathandeni Special Needs Care Centre.
The fund-raiser was held at St Andrew’s Anglican Church on Sunday.
The NPO provides assistance and is home to many disabled children.

Community members donated groceries, money and clothing items.
According to chairperson of the choir Grace Thobejane, the event is meant to be ongoing to ensure the development and sustainability of the NPO.

“We invite the public to spend time and make donations to the NPO; the work they do is challenging enough without having the necessary and proper resources,” says Thobejane.
