KwaThema – A 36-year-old woman was allegedely raped during a house robbery in Extension Three, KwaThema, on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at about 4am.
The victim alleged she was sleeping with her sons, aged 6 and 9, when she felt a hand pulling her hair.

KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza says she woke-up and found an unknown man standing next to her.
“The man pointed at her with a firearm and demanded money, and the victim gave him R50 which she had in the house.
“He went on to search the bedroom and took her cellphone.
“When he was done he dragged her to the outside unfinished room, where he allegedly raped her.
“When he was done, he fled the scene on foot,” she explains.

Khoza adds the police are investigating a case of house robbery and rape and are on the lookout for the suspect.
“We are urging residents to assist with information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect,” she adds.
