Learn to dance with Zwelethu Ndlovu

Zwelethu Ndlovu is a dancer, choreographer and teacher with over 20 years of experience.

She graduated from the Tshwane University of Technology with a dance diploma majoring in African and contemporary dance.

She has been teaching dance as a formal school subject at East Rand School of the Arts in Daveyton for over 16 years with impressive matric results.

Ndlovu runs Saturday dance classes at the Springs Art Gallery from 10am to 11.30am for six- to 12-year-olds and from 11.30am to 1.30pm for 13- to 18-year-olds.

Ndlovu says: “My mission is to ensure high quality, creative, affordable and innovative dance training is accessible to everyone in Ekurhuleni from an early age.

“Through this training, aspirant young dancers will realise their talent and be nurtured to their most outstanding potential, which will enable them to have sustainable careers in the industry as dance professionals or simply appreciate the art of dance.”

Ndlovu says she has many successful former students working in the dance industry as professional dancers, teachers and some still studying dance at various tertiary institutions in South Africa.
