KwaThema Primary School grateful for donation of uniforms

“Most of the learners in the school come from poverty-stricken families, some with single or no parents, so the donation will make a difference in their lives.”

KwaThema – The Masimong Foundation came together with the Teke Family to donate school shoes and jerseys to learners at Fred Habedi Primary School in KwaThema.

The foundation and the Teke Family have been supporting the school since 2008 and have donated food, school uniforms and library materials for the school’s library which is named the Dorothy Teke Library.

School librarian Kamogelo Kgasoane says, “Most of the learners in the school come from poverty-stricken families, some with single or no parents, so the donation will make a difference in their lives.”

Co-founder of the Masimong Foundation Mike Teke grew up in KwaThema and helps the school as he has seen the poverty in the area and wants to make a difference in the lives of the children.

“We, at Fred-Habedi Primary School are very grateful for the Teke’s Family act of generosity throughout the years.

“We really appreciate them for opening their lives to helping and sponsoring our school with not only uniforms but for the library and the school awards as well,” says Kgasoane.
