KwaThema – A feud between a couple has ended with the wife dead and the husband fighting for his life in hospital.
It is alleged the neighbours responded to screams coming out of the house in KwaThema on Monday morning.
KwaThema police spokesperson Warrant Officer Peter Tebeila says it is alleged the couple’s 8-year-old son called out to the neighbours for help as his father was killing his mother.
According to the witness, Ruramayi Mahinga, the couple had locked themselves in the house, and all they could hear were horrific screams coming from the house.

“We tried to make sense to them through an open window, but to no avail.
“They immediately called the police and upon arrival, they were found lying in a pool of blood.
“The woman had sustained 21 stab wounds while the man survived and was rushed to the hospital under police guard.
“The motive for the fight is yet to be established,” he says.
Tebeile says the couple is said to be originally from Limpopo.
“Their identity cannot be revealed until the next of kin have been informed,” he says.
