“Trees play a big role by giving us clean oxygen, so we encourage them to plant trees from September 1 till month end instead of celebrating spring by wasting water.

It is crucial to teach the children about the environment at this age hoping that they will make good decisions about the environment when they are older.”

The day’s events were concluded by the learners planting trees on the wetland.

The Blesbokspruit Wetland Reserve is said to be one of the largest wetlands in the Highveld region of southern Africa.
