Majola family donates school uniforms

“We are happy that we were able to make a difference in the learners’ lives.”

Langaville – The Majola family donated school uniforms to five learners from Menzi Primary School on Tuesday.

The family identified the need to lend a helping hand to some of the learners from disadvantaged backgrounds by donating the full school uniform to them.

School principal Ndumiso Mnguni says the school is grateful for the help they receive from the residents and local business people.

“Many of our learners come from informal settlements and often from poor backgrounds.

“Some don’t have a full school uniform, especially shoes and jerseys to keep them warm on cold days.

“We are calling on others interested in improving a learner’s journey to school to come forward.

“Every little donation goes a long way and puts a smile on a learner’s face, which makes it easy for them to concentrate on their studies and not on their worn out school uniforms,” he says.

Donor Mzwandile Majola says they felt the need to donate the uniforms after seeing some of the learners were not wearing their school jerseys.
