KwaThema Cashbuild's Art-At-Heart gives eight schools R15 000 vouchers at official opening.

Langaville – Cashbuild donated R120 000 worth of building material at that opening of their newly refurbished KwaThema store at Ekhaya Mall, last Thursday.

The Art-at-Heart campaign, launched 17 years ago, has helped more than 2 900 schools in Southern Africa.

Nomasonto Mofokeng was the overall winner for the Art-At-Heart campaign. She received the Manager’s Choice award and R500 worth of school supplies. With her is Nqobile Zwane from Job Maseko Primary School.

“We find great pleasure in encouraging the young ones to learn and improve their environment.”

The Cashbuild Art-at-Heart competition entails learners from different schools submitting their best artwork to Cashbuild, and a winner is selected by judges.

All the artwork from the entries will be displayed in the store for the next six years.

The Manager’s Choice award was presented to Nomasonto Mofokeng from Job Maseko Primary School, as the overall winner of the artwork competition.

“I was really confident in my submission, but I was still surprised when my name was called.

“I am really happy that I won.”

The Grade Seven leaner, who says she completed her drawing in two hours, received R500 worth of school supplies.
