Man shot dead in KwaThema by unknown men

A 54-year-old man was shot and killed in his home in Extension Five along Jacisa Street on March 28.

KwaThema – It is alleged the man was dining with his wife when he asked her to collect a bottle of alcohol in the garage.

KwaThema police spokesperson Captain Thabo Sibuyi says the wife allegedly heard multiple gunshot sounds.

“She then saw two men coming out of the house running towards the Interland section along Sam Ngema drive.

“The wife alleges the deceased sold his motor vehicle in 2016, but the deal didn’t go well because the buyers brought back the car and wanted their money back.

“There were constant arguments ever since the deal started,” he says.

Sibuyi says the deceased had 15 gunshot wounds to his right leg and upper body.

“His right leg was fractured and he was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.

“Fifteen cartridges were found on the scene, we are investigating a case of murder and no one has been arrested.”
