Local fighters to participate in Eastern Cape
Fighters from the Ferkkandos Karate Club participated in the Arnold Classics Championships which were held in Spruitview last weekend.
Duduza – The championships were held as part of the selection process for the main tournament which will be held from May 18 to May 20 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Trainer Linda Ngubane says five of his fighters were selected to participate in the tournament.

“Those selected include Ntokozo Ngubane in the kata demonstration and those in the kumite challenge are Kamogelo Nyepetsi, Sihle Piyane, Mathapelo Sibeko and Themba Ndaba.
“The selections were conducted by the United Knockdown Organisation of South Africa (UKOSA),” he says.

Linda also mentioned that this tournament was an opportunity to prepare for an upcoming challenge in the Eastern Cape on April 7, prior to the main tournament in May.
“We are proud of the participants and hope that they will make us proud in the Eastern Cape.”
