“Hip-hop has gained a bad name because some artists use foul language all the time.

“I want to show people that hip-hop can still provide a positive message,” he explains.

He says his upcoming single, Signs of the End of the Age, from the album, is a hip-hop gospel song about the lives of people in this day and age.

“We’re experiencing signs of the end times, with fake pastors and prophets in our churches who encourage people to drink petrol and eat serpents.

“Churches have become money-making schemes.”

He said he was inspired after reading Matthew 24:5 which reads: “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many.”

“The point is to shift the youth’s thinking because many of us are misinformed through hip-hop and the media.”

Mawesh says he created this album to cater to everyone because people are different.

He says while it has music for gospel lovers, it also has tracks to dance to and songs about love.

He features artists such as Molly, popular for the hit Spina Le Gusheshe.

“Popular in the month of love was the song Kiss You in a White Dress.

“It was a good song for every guy to dedicate to his woman.”
