A man was robbed off R800 and his cellphone while walking along the corner of Nkosi and Job Maseko streets, White City on Saturday.
The man, aged 35 years, was approached by two suspects at 10.30pm.
“They allegedly grabbed him by force and threatened him with a knife,” says Capt Thabo Sibuyi, spokesperson of KwaThema police.
Police are investigating a case of robbery with a weapon or instrument other than a firearm.
“We continue to plead with our locals to avoid walking alone at night, as this makes them easy targets for criminals,” says Sibuyi.
