KwaThema hijackers on the loose

The police need your help to trace hijackers.

KwaThema – The police are hunting down three men who hijacked the victim of a white Tazz at gunpoint on Saturday morning.

It is alleged that the victim (48) was driving along Majola Street and Thema Road around 2.30am. He was on his way to a petrol station to purchase food.

KwaThema police spokesman, Capt Thabo Sibuyi, says the driver then left the owner of the vehicle and went inside the store.

“Three unknown suspects soon approached the driver and took the key of the vehicle and went back to the car where they found the owner who was asleep.

“The men then allegedly assaulted the owner with the butt of the firearm demanding money.

“They also searched him and took R250 and drove off in his vehicle until they reached Ntsindi Street where they left him and drove off,” he says.

“The vehicle, with registration number PVW 743 GP, has not yet been found.

“Anyone with information can contact the KwaThema Police on 011 812 4600,” he says.
