Woman held up and robbed at knifepoint

Two thugs robbed off a woman R10 000 at gun point in KwaThema.

KwaThema – A woman was robbed on the corner of Mpofu Street and Thema Road on Friday afternoon.

It is alleged the complainant, aged 40, was driving in the area and parked her vehicle on this corner at about 3pm.

KwaThema police spokesperson Capt Thabo Sibuyi says the victim left her car and walked to an upholsterer nearby, while speaking on her phone.

“Two unknown men approached her and one of them allegedly held a knife to her neck while the other suspect stood in front of her,” he says.

Sibuyi says the suspects demanded her cellphone.

“One searched her and took the money she had in her jacket, which she said was R10 000, and her cellphone and they then both fled the scene.

“No one has been arrested and investigations are underway,” he says.
