The man raped his six-year-old niece on May 4 while visiting family.
Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora, says the man offered to push the child on a bicycle.

“He pushed her to a mealie field where he raped her.
“He returned home with the girl covered in blood stains and the family immediately informed the police,” he says.
Ramphora says the man pleaded guilty and his name has been entered into the sexual offences register.
