Celebrating SA Freedom Day in Turkey

KwaThema - Mandla ‘Ignition TLK’ Namo was invited to invited to celebrate Freedom Day in Turkey, courtesy of the South Africa Embassy.

“They call it National Day of South Africa, actually,” he explains.

Namo, a singer, actor and dancer, says he feels very fortunate to have this opportunity because he knows there are many other performers who are as talented as he is, if not more.

“I want to do my best and leave a mark that side. This is a platform to create international relationships that will help me when I get back.”

He says he will be performing at a few festivals in Turkey and hopes to absorb has much as he can.

“I have been working with a group from Tshwane University of Technology, as a choreographer, for the past few weeks, and I hope to impart my new knowledge to them when I return to Mzansi.”

Namo says he will also be focusing on his acting and directing careers, in partnership with Ghetohood productions.

“People are thirsty for success and the well of talent in the community never runs dry. I want to give them a chance to shine, while I still can.”

“I have also been doing a lot of weddings this year, for istep (choreography for bridal party).”

He says he is willing to mentor as many youngsters as he can.
