Five die in taxi on Heidelberg Road
Tsakane - Five passengers died when a white Toyota Quantum taxi overturned on the R23 (Heidelberg Road) on Friday morning.
Six other passengers were seriously injured, one of them being the driver.
EMPD spokesman Clifford Shongwe says the taxi was coming from Brakpan and heading towards Tsakane or Geluksdal.

“All the passengers who were injured were taken by various ambulances to nearby hospitals.
“It is not known what caused the accident at this stage.
“The police are still investigating the cause,” he says.
