Kwatsaduza - The Aurum Institute introduced its new clinic at Old Tsakane clinic on Saturday.

The clinic is aimed at providing residents with innovative ways of treating HIV and TB.

“Our mandate is to strengthen the health systems in Ekurhuleni.

“We offer free male medical circumcision from the age of 10 upwards.

“We urge men who have not been circumcised to come forward, because this is a health benefit.

“The benefits of male medical circumcision include keeping the penis clean, reducing the risk of cervical cancer in woman and reducing the risk of contracting HIV amongst heterosexual men by 60%.

“It also corrects some of the abnormalities of the penis, like difficulties in retracting the foreskin.

“Circumcision can also prevent the spread of certain sexually transmitted deceases, such as HPV,” she says.

The founder of the Caswell Stop Men Abuse Movement, Caswell Qxowa (61) was one of the beneficiaries on the day.

He says that after months of receiving complaints from men about their marital challenges because of sexual issues, they decided to invite the clinic into their area.

“Most of their spouses complained that they are starved in bed or tired of their partner’s uncircumcised penises and suffering from high blood pressure.
