Kas’lam creates network for young local entrepreneurs

Kwatsaduza - Local Kas’lam Magazine and Online TV Channel will soon launch the Road to Success Seminars for young entrepreneurs.

This initiative is aimed at helping aspiring entrepreneurs grow their businesses. It will kick off in March.

The talks will help these young people to positively contribute to the economic development of the community of Ekurhuleni.

“Our online magazine has been around for over five years. We started at the bottom but now have over 200 000 readers per month on our website.

“Over the years we have featured numerous well-known artists, musicians, comedians and actors, such as Kwesta, Fifi Cooper, Shimza, Nasty C, Major League and others.

“And as a result, during this time, we have gained a lot of knowledge and experience, hence we want to share this knowledge with others,” says digital manager Tumelo ‘T.Rapz’ Rapodile.

The team aims at hosting numerous seminars to unite rising and developing entrepreneurs and those already in business while creating a networking and skills development platform.

“We want the sessions to involve well-established entrepreneurs who will help elevate the up-and-coming entrepreneurs. We are also looking at involving Ekurhuleni-based up-and-coming entertainers.

“That way they can also get a platform to publicise and sell their art while they get exposure from us.

“This will be our way of giving back to the community, as they have been good to us,” says director and editor of the magazine Bonginkosi ‘Bobo’ Mhlanga.

The successful candidates who are selected to join these seminars stand a chance to get help in sponsorship, marketing and advertising and be part of a great networking platform.

They will also be motivated by speakers who have practical experience in running businesses.

All candidates who are interested in being part of this initiative can visit the team’s office in Springs, corner Second Street and Nine Avenue.

They can also visit www.kaslam.co.za, where they can get forms, or they can contact Mhlanga on 084 990 6087 or Rapodile on 073 856 5642.
