According to police spokesman Capt Thabo Sibuyi, the incident took place at about 1.50am. The report came through on the 10 111 radio control.
“On arrival at the scene, police found a lot of banknotes which were all stained with ink.

“At this stage it is unclear how many people were involved in the ATM bombing, as no suspects were found on the scene.
“The amount taken from the ATM is also unknown,” says Sibuyi.
