Uniform donation for needy youth

KwaThema – Twelve learners from the Mzumbe and Mkhanqwa sections received brand new school uniforms, stationery and sanitary towels on Sunday.

The initiative was made possible by the Ikusasa Lethu Foundation in conjunction with Njabulo and Friends from the Home Fellowship Church under Pastor Joy Khumalo.

“This was the foundation’s first initiative after its official launch late last year.

“The ‘Dress a Child’ event is aimed at helping school children from the age of six to 16 years old.

“As a team we realise that, even though schools are already open, some learners have started new grades or schools and there are those who are underprivileged and cannot afford new school uniforms or stationery,” says founder of the foundation Thandazo Mabena.

She adds that their core belief in giving is not just because they have, but because they know the pain of not having.

The children were happy with their donation.

Mabena also thanks Njabulo and Friends for having partnered with them and making the project a success.
