Mthembu explains that in making a selection of the academic award recipients, the staff looks at the curricular activities of the learners.

On the other hand, the staff members’ principal awards selection, is made by the principal and two criteria are used.

This includes the co-curricular activities – those done at the school during interaction time between the learner and teacher: eg, gate duty and ex-curricular activities which include sports.

“Thank you very much to the staff for their hard work and efforts in ensuring the best results are achieved for our children throughout the year.

“I also wish all staff and learners a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year,” he says.
