Police conduct raids at two secondary schools

Tsakane - On Tuesday the local police conducted a surprise visit to two secondary schools.

The learning institutions visited on the day were the Mamellong Comprehensive School and the Langaville Secondary School.

“The school search is done to check learners for any illegal substances and dangerous weapons.

“It is also done randomly as a surprise at local schools at least twice annually, depending on the behaviour patterns of the particular school’s learners, in an effort to make school premises a safe environment for learners and teachers.
