Five-a-Side One Day Tournament

The festivities were hosted at the KwaThema Sports Complex on Saturday.

And teams which participated on the day included Interland, Tornado, Kalawa, Barcelona, Abafana Bes’thende, Holar, Under Dogs, Metro and White City.

The day kicked off with the group stages.

From there, four teams headed on to compete at semi-final stage.

Barcelona took on Metro, however, they drew 3-3.

This then led both teams to penalties and Metro won 2-1.

At the other semi-final match, White City won 2-0 after taking on Tornado.

In the final match for the day, Metro and White City drew 2-2.

White City were then crowned champs after Metro missed all three penalties while they scored one of the three.

The winner White City scooped R500, a trophy and 15 medals, Metro took home R300 and 15 medals and Barcelona in third place took R200 and 15 medals.
