Gospel artist wins awards

KwaThema – Gospel artist Ntethelelo Mposwa (28) recently won the best worship album for his latest offering Indumiso Volume Two Revival, in the Ngoma Awards, in Midrand.

The local musician says it was also an honour for him to be the opening act at the awards.

“I’m pleased with myself for wining this category because I was gunning for it from the outset,” he says.

He was also nominated for three other categories which he didn’t win.

None the less Mposwa maintains that the fact that he was nominated for four categories for this album proves that his hard work and talent isn’t going unnoticed in the industry.

“It’s only been four months that the album has been out and the response I’ve been getting is overwhelming, and it’s all thanks to my fans, all the people who believed in me and voted for me.

“I appreciate all the local churches that opened their doors for me to come and minister the word through worship, I’m deeply humbled,” says the musician.

He says it hasn’t been all smooth sailing.

When he started, he searched for his sound, to featuring in other artist’s album.

Mposwa says what has made this album different was that he wrote his own material and worked with prominent producers, and the reviving element of the songs for the listener.

“I will be touring for the coming weeks to promote the album and will stage free performances to show appreciation to my fans and supporters,” he adds.

People can obtain a copy of the album at all music stores.
