M.O.M Seboni off to nationals

Duduza - The u/16 netball team from M.O.M Seboni Secondary School will be heading to the nationals in October at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) after they outplayed their peers in the provincial round last Saturday.

If the team wins the nationals they will be afforded a chance to go to Singapore.

Team coach Joana Hlatswayo says she is very proud of her team for making it this far in the competition.

“I’m overwhelmed and out of words, the girls really put in the work by always being disciplined and committed to the sport.

“This gives me hope that there is a bright future for our youth in the community,” she says.

She further mentions the fact that they played against big teams in the community which also played a huge role in preparing the team for their matches.

“Even if we don’t win the nationals I will be content with their efforts because I know they have done extremely well throughout the season.

“But I’m confident that they will make it,” she adds.
