Entrepreneurs given a chance

KwaThema - Local entrepreneurs gathered at the KwaThema Customer Care Centre on Tuesday for training made possible by Nafcoc and its stakeholders.

The training sought to educate and inform local entrepreneurs about opportunities that are available for them to expand and formalise their establishments.

According to Nafcoc member, Mphikelele Ntalo, Eskom will be giving 50 entrepreneurs from Ekurhuleni an opportunity to undergo a training course estimated at R45 000.

“The beneficiaries will get the necessary training in any field of business they are in, from hair salons to construction.

“This is to equip the many entrepreneurs in the township with the necessary skills so they are able to move from running small-scale businesses to running bigger establishments.

“A lot of us business owners don’t know how to do bookkeeping or banking for our businesses, so that is why Eskom with other stakeholders have committed to help us,” explains Ntalo.

Ntalo says they will be holding more training sessions because they want more entrepreneurs involved.
