Thankful for peaceful elections

KwaThema – Locals are invited to attend an interdenominational prayer set to take place this weekend.

The occasion will be conducted at the Faith Mission Church, in Malaza Street in KwaThema, on Sunday from 3pm.

Bishop David Molefe says, “As the KwaThema Ministers Fellowship, we hereby invite the community and congregations to our monthly interdenominational prayer services.

“The purpose of the prayer is to thank God for the peaceful elections, to pray for the newly elected leaders and to pray for our government.

“This is because we are commanded by God to come together in unity and to pray for our country and the world.”

He adds that as religious groups, they thank the government and citizens of South African for the way in which they handled themselves during the local government elections.

For more information on the service, community members can contact Bishop Molefe on 073 533 0879 or Pastor Fikile Munyika on 073 799 3074.
