Funeral home shows care

KwaThema –Recently local athlete Noluvo Fakude (10) received sponsorship of new sporting gear from a local funeral home.

She received new training shoes, a tracksuit and other training attire.

This comes after Fakude showed her passion and talent for sprinting which caught the attention of trainer Charles Vilakazi.

“I’m pleased that the funeral home has risen to the occasion to help this young athlete who has a very promising future in the athletic sphere.

“She has shown her talent even at school, where she effortlessly beats her peers in the 800m and 1 500m races.

“Now I want her to extend her talents to long-distance running, which I’m very confident that she will master through extensive training and participation in cross-country races,” says the coach.

The funeral home also committed to lend a helping hand whenever the need arises.

“We thank Vilakazi who has a given a child from the township a chance to hone her skill and an opportunity to have a goal to work towards.

“As a funeral home it is our mandate to assist the community and also give back to less privileged. It’s a great pleasure to see that there are people in our townships who are willing to devote their time to groom young people to ensure a better future for them,” says the CEO of the funeral home, Tebogo Tshipi.
