4-3 win for Underdogs

KwaThema – It was a victorious moment for the Underdogs when they beat White City 4-3 in the five-a-side league match last Saturday.

Fans gathered at the KwaThema Sports Complex to witness the game, which proved to be challenging for White City after numerous attempts to score goals to put them in the lead.

In the first stanza White City seemed to have their game plan in order as Mpho Majore secured the very first goal of the match, followed by his teammate Tshidiso Nkaota.

Putting pressure on the Underdogs, the team came up with a more strategic way to get balls in the net.

Underdogs’ Thanbang Sibande managed to squeeze in one goal for his side before the referee blew the whistle to end the first half.

Going into the second half the Underdogs struck when their opponents least expected it, giving the opposition no chance to take the ball close to the 18 area.

Matiya Sebetha nabbed an outstanding goal which equalised the scores, but moments later White City’s Nkaota registered the third goal to extend the lead.

That didn’t put pressure on the Underdogs but instead made them more eager to get goals in.

After numerous goals on target and good formation, Underdogs’ Sibande managed to nab two more goals for his team before the referee blew the whistle, ending the match in a 4-3 win to the Underdogs.
