WATCH: Netball League Tournament success
KwaThema – Community members gathered at the Bulithando Park Sports Ground on Saturday, in support of the KwaThema Netball League Tournament.
In total six u/15 and four open teams availed themselves to compete against one another, in the Youth Month celebrations through sports initiative.
Activities ran throughout the day, but making it into the finals at the end of the day was Zest and the KwaThema Netball Team in the u/15 division while Zest and Diski Divas competed in the open division slot.
The team of young ones saw the KwaThema Netball Team thrash Zest 18-5 while in the open match, Zest beat opponents Diski Divas 39-7.
All four teams that landed in the finals were awarded with certificates while winning teams of both divisions also walked away with medals.
Organisers of the tournament thanked everyone who supported and made the day a success.
At a later stage the facilitators will select players who will form part of teams to represent KwaThema in upcoming competitions.
