Search for upcoming comedians underway
Thabo Mhlongo (37), from Selection Park, is looking for local, upcoming comedians who he can work with in future shows.
As a local comedian himself, he believes that the talent and potential is there locally, but all that is needed is more exposure.
“For over a decade I have been avoiding the call to follow my passion and I think that now is the time to do so.
“As a comedian myself, I am looking at getting young people who are aspiring to become comedians, so we can work together and, later, possibly do shows.
“When I do get interested people, there will be a selection of maybe the top five,” he says.
He explains that he is looking for people who are older than 18 and are hungry for this opportunity and will take it seriously.
“These people must be looking to expose their art, more than the money, as they must understand that this will be the start of us building something big together,” he concludes.
