Ace Auto Ayoba players selected
KwaThema – Four u/21 Ace Auto Ayoba soccer players have been selected to form part of the regional SAB squad.
This comes after the foursome, comprising of Sandile Mahlangu (18), Thabang Molele (18), Tshepo Nkabinde (19) and Dion Stevens (20), were chosen on Saturday, at the tryouts held at the Actonville Stadium.
“All the u/21 SAB teams were requested to send through their teams for tryouts, so that players could be selected for the regional tournament.
“We are very proud that our four players stood out and were selected during these trials.
“After the regional stage, a squad will again be picked which will play at the provincial level,” says the technical director of Ace Auto Ayoba, Innocent Mayoyo.
He adds that it’ s Nkabinde’s second time excelling at this, as previously he was selected and had made it to the provincial stage of this competition while for the other three; this will be a new experience.
The technical staff congratulates these four players for their hard work and success.
“It is indeed a good feeling and an honor for our local players to be complemented for their hard work as this will add onto their profile.
“This shows that there are great players in our townships and it will serve as an encouragement to other local players, that doing your best does pay off,” he adds.
