Local school choirs participate in competiton

KwaThema – Two choirs represented Zamani Primary School in a musical competition last week.

The primary schools’ music competition, hosted at the Duduza Multi Purpose Centre, saw junior and senior choirs obtaining third position in categories they competed in.

School principal Selby Nkosi says: “Our learners entered into two categories and the junior choir came out in third position for their western song, while the senior choir also came out in third place for their western song.

“Though both choirs won’t be progressing any further in the competition, we are remarkably proud of their performances.

“Extra mural activities help in balancing and developing our learners holistically as they are all gifted in different ways, hence as a school, we will continue promoting participation of our learners to broaden their development.”
