According to the founder of the organisation, Maria Masuku, she wanted to do something special for the underprivileged learners at the school.
“Some children don’t have breakfast in the mornings when coming to school, so with the little I was given by my sponsors, I wanted to share,” she explains.
Masuku, who deals with community projects aimed at alleviating poverty and empowering community members, explains why the culture of giving is so important in the community.
“We all need to do our bit to ensure that households that are lacking finances receive support, so we may curb the plight of crime and substance abuse happening in our communities.”
