Businessman ploughs back

KwaThema – A generous donation has afforded a new wheelchair for Lydia Ramodise (57) who is paralysed from her neck down.

The donation was made possible by Dumisane Mtsweni, a local businessman who says giving is a very important factor in his life.

“I want to promote the art of giving in our community, especially to those who need it the most.

“Moreover to urge local businesses to invest and plough back to the people who are supporting them,” says Mtsweni.

He further explains the importance of disabled people having comfortable and functional mobility to make their lives easier.

Ramodise, who has been paralysed for 29 years after she was involved in a motor vehicle accident and injured her spine, says she is grateful for her new wheelchair, which will make moving around her yard much more comfortable.

“The wheelchair that I used didn’t have footrests and was no longer comfortable. I thank Mtsweni for his generous donation. May he do the same for others who are in need,” says Ramodise.

“We need to be a community that cares for each other and more importantly for those who are not physically able,” adds the businessman.
