Helping troubled youth

Kwatsaduza – The African Methodist Episcopal Church, Springs District Women’s Missionary Society visited the recovering drug addicts of the Witpootjie Rehabilitation Centre.

This was part of the women’s social action programme, and the church members donated clothing and toiletries and gave the youth some spiritual upliftment.

“Our different branches from Kwatsaduza and surrounding areas went to visit the centre so that they could help with the needed supplies, uplift them and assist in changing their lives.

“We aim to continue helping these young people as they are our still our children.

“We also appeal to other members of the community to join us in this venture,” says coordinator and social action chairperson, Patricia Papi.

She thanks the centre for allowing them to visit and thanks assistant pastor Gabriel Ntewu from KwaThema, Rev Tips Molewa from Nigel and youth representative Noxolo Mogawa from Daveyton for joining them.
