Is online dating safe

People are now more open to the idea of dating someone they have never met, thanks to online dating.

Before we became more open to this idea, conventional dating was just okay for some.

Now, people are able to check if your body type and career will match their standards before going on a date with you.

I still say, meeting someone in person is way better than chatting online with someone who can write sweet nothings in the hope of winning you over.

Not that I oppose people dating online, but it’s a bit awkward to have to see staged pictures of someone all the time.

I mean even if you ask them to take a picture of their face first thing in the morning, chances are they will fix their hair and wipe their face before that selfie is sent to you.

To me that is not being real at all.

How do you even know the person you are chatting to is really the person you see on the pictures that you are bombarded with daily.

I have seen many of my family and friends fall victim to being played by someone on the other side of the computer.

It’s funny how people who date online take it so seriously that they don’t even sleep at night; just chatting to someone they don’t know.

I don’t want to talk about the dangers that some people put themselves in when they get too emotionally dependent on that person who seems to have interest in you.

So many women are being milked of their money because a guy, who claims to love you and promises to marry you, asks for money.

There is no way I will trust a human being that I’ve never met with anything, let alone money.

I’ve read some terrible stories of women being conned by men posing as humanitarians seeking help for poor children in parts of Africa, only to find out that they are being taken for a ride.

So to be on the safe side, I would not even try and look for a potential lover online because there far too many vultures than catches.

The question I ask is why is a proper guy or girl checking out potential suitors online?

That to me just spells weird and creepy.

But hey, different strokes for different folks; some online daters have found their long lost soul mates on the internet.
