Learner assisted by organisation

KwaThema - Lebohang Mkwanazi (18) received financial assistance for registration and textbooks for his academic year at the University of Johannesburg.

Kutloano Social Organisation (Kuso) rendered the help after the lad reached out for assistance.

Social welfare coordinator, Sello Makete explains that this is one of the organisation’s outreach programmes which aims to assist young people to get into tertiary institutions.

“We mainly focus on helping with registration fees but we went the extra mile for Mkwanazi because of his dire need for textbooks also,” says Makete.

Mkwanazi says he is honoured to have received the assistance to enable him to get the necessary material so he can excel academically.

“I’m very happy that I managed to register through the aid of Kuso and buy textbooks. They have played a major role in ensuring that I fulfil my dream of being a human resource manager in future,” he says.

Mkwanazi is one of many students who the organisation has helped to pay their registration fee.

Assistance is given to learners who are really in need, as determined via a screening process conducted by the organisation.

“It gives us pleasure to extend our help as an organisation to students like Mkwanazi who want to better their lives through education.

“Moreover, I thank all the members of the organisation for making contributions so students’ dreams become a reality,” adds Mokete.
