Cool Dads do their bit for the community

KwaThema – Fathers and their children spent quality time together at the annual Cool Dad’s Foundation picnic last Sunday.

The event took place at Da Venue in KwaThema with a killer line-up of entertainers.

Pairs of school shoes and cash donations were accepted at the gate.

The day’s events started around midday where the foundation’s team ensured that all who entered the venue made a donation to ensure that children received pairs of shoes.

All the proceeds received will be donated to schools around Kwatsaduza.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Bongani Luvalo says the school shoe drive has been developed and promoted as one of the foundation’s most effective programmes, in a way to engage fathers in all aspects of positive fatherhood.

He further explains that the community’s continuous support, by contributing and attending the events, has made it possible for the foundation to live up to its primary objective of bringing change in the community.

“The event was a success as a number of school shoes have been collected and will be distributed accordingly to underprivileged children identified in local schools.

“We warmly appreciate the support and contribution,” says Luvalo.
